The Spider-Man Trilogy consists of the 2002 film Spider-Man, the 2004 film Spider-Man 2, and the 2007 film Spider-Man 3. The director of these movies is Samuel Raimi, whose best works include include Evil Dead and Darkman. But this director found his or her spot in the movie business thanks to the Spiderman Trilogy. When compared to other Spider-Man movies, this trilogy had the most domestic box office earnings. Sam is a leader in this field in addition to the numbers of sales, views, and relationships people have with his films. There are a number of ways that Sam Raimi's Spiderman might help people relate. One of the key points to note about Raimi’s Spiderman is the display of his trademark of production. This director is well known for releasing films that portray the other sides of weird individuals and outcasts. From scenes of the Evil Dead and the Darkman, Sam shows his emphasis on weird characters (Speelman). In the Spiderman series, Peter Parker is displayed as an odd teenager with poor social skills. It is after a spider bites him that he gets strange powers. Peter becomes the Spiderman who is considered the hero on earth by many as he saves lives. In the trilogy, Sam manages to use his famous style of portraying the best sides of weird characters. Therefore, this consistency makes it possible for people to relate to his Spiderman movies.

The second crucial reason why people easily relate to Sam’s Spiderman Trilogy is the fact that it enlightens the society on the need for being oneself. This moral lesson picked from the film series is significant to leaders and people with responsibilities just like Spiderman (Koh 736). As Peter Parker struggled to act like a hero of the world, he almost destroyed his relationship with Mary Jane. In this case, Parker was keen to maintain an image of a leader and forgot about the love of his life-Mary Jane (Thiran). In real life, such scenarios face most people in the leadership positions. Individuals tend not to remember that they have a life to live outside their roles in leadership. When Peter Parker finally acknowledged that the mask is just for hiding his face not heart, things started to work out in his relationship. In directing the Spiderman Trilogy in such a plot, Sam manages to reach the audience in matters relating to being oneself. This move makes it possible for people to connect to his Spiderman films.

The Portrayal of Heroism

The heroism developed in the Spider-Man Trilogy is also a significant part of the series that connects the director to his audience. An interesting point to note is that Peter Parker is not a hero just because he saves lives over and over, but also because he manages to handle all the responsibility he has and the personal life issues affecting him. Apart from his love life, Peter faced challenges with his rent and school (Speelman). However, to display his true heroism, Peter sacrifices his time and attention to save lives. In the first release of 2002, Peter struggled and finally gained confidence as Spiderman. In the Spider-Man 2, the director manages to create a significant role for this superhero. Ultimately, in the third series, Sam exploits the selfish desires of the principal cast in the movie. Throughout the trilogy, the art of heroism is portrayed thus making it possible for people to relate to this production.

The Flaws of the Director and Film

Another reason why people can relate to Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy is the fact that he is at the heart of it flawed. The Director of this three films has failed in some areas that the audience can quickly note. The flaws do not make the movies the best, but they make the audience have some questions to ask about the productions. Such issues usually create a platform for people to relate to the movies they watch. Starting with the first release in 2002, the effects of the film looked weightless and unreal. As Spiderman crawled on walls and slanged on webs, he never looked real. The personality of Peter Parker is also not well displayed in this trilogy. For example, Peter is a genius who scores high grades but never invents anything (Thiran). That poses a question on his personality as a genius.

A Legendary Filmmaker and His Trilogy

Lastly, the figures generated by Sam’s Spider-Man Trilogy make this filmmaker a legend. The trilogy's production budget and revenue generation from the domestic box office is something worth noting. With a production budget of US$ 139 million, the 2002 Spider-Man box office revenue reached US$ 403 million (Nash Information Services). The 2007 Spider-Man 3 had a production budget of US$ 258 million with a domestic box office revenue of US$ 336 million. Making a comparison to Marc Preston Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, Sam still holds the record. Webb’s 2012 production had a budget of US$ 220 million and had a domestic box office of just US$ 262 million (Nash Information Services).

The various reasons why people will keep watching Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy will always form a basis of discussion for filmmakers and watchers. Sam manages to use his style of displaying the best out of weird persons and makes Spider-Man a movie full of lessons, and easy to relate to in one's life.
