Hire a WriterRobert Rauschenberg’s artwork is presented in the exhibition that is organized by Tate Modern from London in conjunction with the Museum of Modern Art of New York in appreciation for his works’ contribution to the society.
The Robert Rauschenberg: Erasing the Rules event is taking place in San Francisco. The works being covered are his paintings and sculptures.
According to the presented samples, Rauschenberg combined the lines between printing and sculpturing to make a statement that art and life were similar and there are no criteria for predicting the meaning of his work. The colors of his paintings are seen to be a combination of all types including red, blue, and, predominantly, black. The value of Rauschenberg’s paintings and sculptures presented in this exhibition are not priced for various unstated reasons. (Wechsler 72) Most of his works are of the smooth texture, although there are specific sculptures that appear to be rough. The discrepancy in the artist’s work in terms of texture is caused by the concept of their creation. The texture of sculptures and paintings created with traditional materials is rough while that of pieces from modern painting items is smooth. The shape of his paintings and sculptures are diverse considering the concept being covered (Greene 19).
The event is a general representation of nature in art. It is to show how nature can be used to express feeling by people. Canyon is one of the artworks that combine paint and objects of the real life showing that they are the one. It looks rough, but the intended meaning is clear implying that life can be shared through art.
By the use of traditional materials of painting, the culture has been embraced in Rauschenberg’s work, especially the in the eagles’ images. He has also used modern paintings to show that trends have changed in artwork due to advanced technology.
Celebrating the lifework of Robert Rauschenberg is a major promotion of the support of art and a way of maintaining a sense of the cultural belonging among common people; this phenomenon leaves a significant sign on the audience. Hence, the event is contributing positively to the society. Expressing life through art, as Rauschenberg did, should be imitated by other artists.
