Casper and Joukov focus their concentration on the effects of marijuana abuse and its possibility of causing Schizophrenia. Towards the protection of a fraction of the population from contracting the disease, the authors suggest that the use of marijuana should be regulated. Among the mentioned effects of marijuana include the alteration of the psyche of the user which triggers the development of Schizophrenia, an increase in crime rates, school dropout and joblessness in the society. According to the article, misuse of marijuana can result in criminal acts, and there is a need for the proper establishment of laws and legislation to regulate the use of medical marijuana.

Through the article, then authors allege the shortfalls in the distribution and production of the drug and the layout and design of the cannabis store in Alberta. McKinney in the article Growing revenue, consider marijuana legalization as an opportunity to increase revenue. Like other crops cultivated in the nation, the author speculates that marijuana can also be produced in large scale and sold. Through the introduction of drug taxation, the authors state that marijuana production and processing will be regulated to avoid its abuse. The author also mentions the use of Radio frequency identification systems in the tracking of marijuana plants throughout the production and processing process. The tracking system as postulated by the author is significant in then monitoring and ensuring eff3ective collection of revenue by the government from the marijuana production. The author advocates for the legalization of the drug since it will create employment opportunities for the jobless population and earn revenue for the government

On the topic, Marijuana legalization, Orlando James attributes that the production and the consumption of marijuana in a nation is a subject to the institutionalized laws and legislation. With the legalization of marijuana process in Colorado as an example, the author stipulates the necessary legislative measures that should be undertaken to ensure the implementation of the policy. The author mentions in the article that the process and the issue should be regarded as a national concern allowing every citizen to express their view on the matter and should not be decided on by a fraction of people in the society or government.

Things however changed and every activity that concern marijuana has been considered illegal though there are individuals and groups of people that are out to ensure there is no criminalization of marijuana. The authors mentioned in the article that the legalization campaign of marijuana was thwarted by the classification of marijuana as a schedule 1 drug by the Congress in 1970. The classification categorized marijuana among the most dangerous drugs in the world that is addictive and has no medical benefit. In the article, the authors also shade some light on the laws governing marijuana use, and its abuse in the society.
