Hire a WriterThe Communist Party has made errors in its work, but its "contributions are primary, and faults are secondary". The communist party has made numerous errors. The party has been blamed for a variety of wrongdoings, including Mao's mass murder, corruption, and economic disturbances, among others (Snow 207). It is true that revolutionary leaders are flawed human beings. People have the right to own their mistakes and amend them as needed. Nonetheless, despite the Communist Party of China's mistakes, it is worth noting that the party has made countless primary contributions and achievements to the People's Republic of China. and this error are secondary. Basically, the benefits of the party outweigh its mistakes.
One of the major accomplishments of the Communist Party was in uniting the entire China and neutralizing the invasion by the warlords. Hacking back on the period of the Republic of China, one thinks of the war, death scenes, starvation, and division (Lieberthal 167). Before the formation of the People’s Republic of China, the country was separated by the foreigners. People were in dire need of protection but this could not be achieved. The Nationalist Party showed interest in reconstructing the country but failed to establish an effective rule. The imperialists and the warlords made sure that China could not get her affairs in order. However, all these were eradicated by the Communist Party by doing away with the warlords and bringing the people of China together.
Even though the communists made a number of mistakes, the experience they acquired made them figure out various ways to advance China and the developments are eminent even today (Lieberthal 167). The Communist Party led to establishment of better industrial system, an effective and independent economy, and a strong military. The above achievements were only possible after the Communist Party made Chinese united, improved the country’s leadership, and made it independent.
The Communist Party brought freedom of religious belief. The party ensured that no citizen of China would be forced to or not to believe in a certain religion not even by the public organizations or the state and also prohibited religious discrimination(Lieberthal 168).The party illegalized use of religion in events that harm Chinese health, cause public disorder, and disrupt the educational structure of China. Furthermore, religious activities and bodies were made free of foreign dominance. Spiritual freedom is enjoyed in China even today.
Through the Communist Party, China has been made highly efficient and flexible in responding to emergent opportunities and challenges, especially in reaction to unanticipated tragic accidents (Lieberthal 169). For example, under the communist party the construction of the Beijing Capital International Airport’s Terminal Three for the Olympics was accomplished in a period of three years, a time span that is not even enough for a ratification procedure in the West. Moreover, in 2008, the entire universe was pleased and surprised with China’s quick and effective response after the earthquake that occurred in Wenchuan.
Even though there are claims that the Communist Party has created opportunities for corruption, on the contrary, communism has significantly managed the act especially in the period of social transition (Lieberthal 170).It is a global knowledge that in the whole human history, the highest rates of corruption are recorded mainly during the time of social transition and economic prosperity. However, comparing this period in China with that in Russia and India, the corruption levels registered in China are by far less than the other two countries, this is as a result of the communism in the country.
The Communist Party has created responsibility in the Chinese governments. It is known that in democratic nations, leaders are elected to serve for a specific period. The officials are not expected to leave power except in the case where go against the law, take unwelcomed action, or make bad decisions (Lieberthal 171). Additionally, they take no blame for anything after they retire from office. However, because of the Communist Party, this is not the case in China. The country has a Principal Officials Accountability System which ensures that leaders are held responsible for their mistakes, incompetence, and negligence at any time.
Existence of a single party which is the Communist Party has led to proper representation of all citizens. As opposed to a multi-party system where each party represents certain interest groups, the Communist Party is concerned with the welfare of all Chinese (Lieberthal 171).Therefore, economic policies have been developed without preference or favor of any region. The country has been able to carry out policies stabilization, long- term plans formulation, and national development smoothly without conflict in ideologies and thoughts which would be the case if the country had many parties.
Communism has facilitated creation of strong communities in China. The Communist Party established laws, goals, and rules in distribution of responsibilities and resources (Lieberthal 172). The regulations as led to improvement of the spirit of sharing among the citizens which in turn has generated stronger economy and social populations.
Communism has also minimized competition. China being a communist society, all the citizens are considered equal. Therefore, this means that people can work hard similarly and amicably with limited or no interpersonal disagreements and conflicts (Dickson 46). There is equivalent allocation of the responsibilities and benefits of work among the Chinese. The equity has helped to eradicate jealousy, envy, and ambitions and also reduced the unnecessary competitions among the people of China.
The Communist Party has also created stable internal economic system. The government of China manages the economy and this is in a way an assurance of stability (Snow 210). In order to reap benefits, everybody has an obligation to work and those who do not receive equivalent sanctions. As a result, the people of China have been encouraged by this fact and they are always willing to work so as to earn and also to contribute to the country’s economic growth.
The Communist Party has provided jobs to the citizens. The government owns virtually all the means of production and thus has a responsibility to create employment for its people. In China, individuals who have reached the working age are entitled to an occupation (Dickson 46). The government gives sufficient job openings for everyone to live and survive. However, each and every one must make their contributions to the economy in order to get incentives and payment.
In summary, I absolutely agree with the statement that "The Communist Party has made mistakes in its work, but its "contributions are primary and mistakes secondary". Despite the frequently talked about failures, the Communist Party has brought about numerous achievements in China which include uniting the people of China and improvement in industrial, economic and defense systems. The party has also created religious freedom, enhanced efficiency in response to challenges, reduced corruption, and instilled responsibility in the governments. Moreover, it has strengthened the economy and communities, ensured representation for all, reduced internal competition, and provided employment for the citizens.
