Actors

Within the theatrical profession, actors take on a variety of roles. Depending on the genre of the film or play, different performers portray different roles. How an actor performs his or her role is greatly influenced by the requirements given by the show. An actor must adjust to the needs of the play in order to develop their playing roles (American Theatre Wing).

Actors have a fashionable role to play because acting is a fashionable activity that involves the use of various fashionable designs based on the type of film that is in such as ancient films. An example is that actors tend to have various fashionable hairstyles based on the role that they are playing (American Theatre Wing).

Actors have a public role that they have to play. Actors are known by many people who make them be public figures. There are chances that actors are greeted by many people such as when they are traveling among other activities. Due to the publicity role that the actors play, there is the need to ensure that they show respect to all people even to the strangers (American Theatre Wing).

Lastly, actors have a role to play within the theater industry when it comes to bullying that comes from the directors. Actors need to learn how to handle various forms of criticisms that they get from directors that they are working with. The role of the actor in this cases is to ensure that they are not pinned down by the negative criticisms that might also be in the form of bullying. The role of the actor is to handle all the situations in a positive manner. (American Theatre Wing).

Role of directors

Directors play various roles within the theater industry. The roles of the directors are critical when it comes to the success of the film that is being produced. The first role of the director is communication. Directors communicate with various people within the theater industry which can range from producers to actors amongst others. Their communication is important in passing useful information to the recipients (American Theatre Wing).

The second role of the directors within the theater industry is ensuring that the entire process of production is in line with what has been written in the script. Directors have to ensure that the script is followed as indicates and that there are no alterations that are done at the production point. Therefore, the directors ensure that the film is produced in line with the guidelines and timeline that have been set (American Theatre Wing).

The third role that the director's play is being a unifying factor in the entire process of production. The director shows authority and knowledge whenever there is a challenge with the production process. In some cases, the director has to show authority by indicating if something is working out or not. The director can admit any new idea that is given that is better than the one that is being used (American Theatre Wing).

Lastly, directors play the role of collaboration because they work with various people and thus collaboration is one of the activities that are involved. The collaborative role of the directors is important in the process of production because it holds the entire process together (American Theatre Wing).
