My Personal Motivations for Attending IESE

IESE has an outstanding reputation worldwide as a Management School. I mostly admire and find it inspiring to choose IESE due to its shared values. IESE status is recognized by the formation of an immense number of successful businessmen with human values for over the past fifty years. That is what makes the school an ideal workspace, with structures, and abilities. I believe that it will assist me and orientate me in acquiring the adequate formation as a businessman.

As to what my personal motivations for attending IESE are, I especially value the following: One, the institutional values such as family, cooperation between others, honesty, and introspective growth, which I believe to be the adequate values for personal development to make an impact on the society. Two, the alumni platform with international business ambit would offer me the opportunity to be surrounded by a variety of people with different backgrounds and cultures. That would enable me to expand my mind range and interact with nowadays constantly changing society. Three, the business knowledge that is shared with a high level of focus on daily management topics based on “case studies” allow the students to share a great amount of knowledge among themselves. Fourth, the worldwide prestige conferred to not only the school but also to the MBA program optimizes my wishes of being part of such an outstanding institution.

The specific program I am interested in is the full-time MBA program to add to my philosophy degree acquired at Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona. Despite my young age, I have been dedicated to the business world for a few years already. Not only collaborating in the family business with responsibilities in the Human Resources Department at CODIMA S.A. but also as the co-founder and maximum shareholder of a cryptocurrency mining company, established over two years ago and currently working at full performance. All these have given me an opportunity to link with several professionals as well as the necessary tools to become part of a business structure. I wholeheartedly believe that the transformation you propose during the nineteen months that the full-time MBA program lasts would be beneficial for both my personal and familiar environment.

I believe in myself to be a very introspective, sociable, sacrificing, and focused on obtaining results with a great association capacity. Moreover, I am always focused on helping others to make change happen. I have often considered that knowledge without the adequate communication skills is practically useless. That is one of the reasons for which I have dedicated great part of my time studying languages. For instance, Spanish, Catalan, and English were the main languages of my philosophy degree. The languages included studying the people’s culture, literature, and social background. I also have a basic knowledge of French and Deutsch. My current formation as a philosopher has granted me the capacity to critically analyze and reason deductively to become successful in a business environment. I have notable strengths including being responsible, trustworthy and well versed in teamwork. With a never-ending thirst for knowledge, I will continue growing.

Finally, I would like to specificity briefly that my expectations for this opportunity includes becoming a businessman with ethics, develop an efficient and constant work habit, maximize the knowledge intake and objective accomplishment during the MBA, get a grasp of how a business school such as IESE is structured, and surround myself with a wide range of peers with different interests but with a common goal of making the world more human. I am hopeful of becoming part of the IESE experience. The effort of the teachers and my everyday work will make it a life-changing experience. I hope to enhance my moral values as a human being and ensure that my integrity and respect are reserved so that I can pass them over to next generations.
