Hire a WriterI would opt using the IUD. IUD stands for Intrauterine Device, which is a small T-shaped plastic device placed into the uterus to prevent pregnancy. Of the two types of IUDs, I would choose copper IUDs (ParaGard) over hormonal IUDs (Kyleena, Mirena, Skyla, and Liletta). According to Planned Parenthood Federation of America (2018), ParaGard would help prevent sperm from reaching my egg since copper inhibits it and it lasts for up to 12 years compared to hormonal IUDs.
The contraception I would never consider is the tubal litigation. There are several reasons for my decision. Tubal litigation is a surgical procedure that permanently prevents pregnancy by blocking the fallopian tube so that it never meets with the sperm (Planned Parenthood Federation of America, 2018). This is against my belief where women must remain reproductive as long as they live and should never sabotage the natural gift of giving birth intentionally. Another reason I would avoid this method is due to research evidence linking it to cancer. A meta-analysis performed by Megan, Megan, and Shelley (2012) showed that there is adequate evidence connecting tubal litigation to ovarian cancer.
1. Hopes for creating a family
I have a family of eight who includes my husband, our six children, and I. If I developed fertility problems, I would consider treatment option that would be relevant to my case or the course of my infertility. If the cause if infection, I would take antibiotics to remove the infection. If the cause would be ovulation problems, I will opt to take medications that stimulate ovulation. Also, if the cause would be hormonal imbalance or endometriosis, I would consider taking hormones to address the problem.
If I could not have my biological children, adoption could not be a problem to me. However, I will have to discuss with my husband on what kind of adoption would be fit for us and how we would like to handle the adoption. If none of us has a problem with that, then we could adopt.
Getting involved with a partner that had children would be the biggest mistake, I would commit to myself. I would not feel good raising someone else children. However, if the mother of the children is dead, I would feel sorry and reconsider my stance much as I truly love the other person and they equally love me back.
If I notice that my partner is not supportive to my children or is violent, abusive or aggressive when it comes to marital or paternal affairs, I would like quite the marriage and raise my children in a peaceful environment alone.
I am against abortion, as my belief cannot allow me to terminate a life already conceived. Nevertheless, those whose belief is not as strong as mine can carry on with the act, but they should have a genuine reason to carry on with the act (Planned Parenthood Federation of America, 2018). For instance, if they want to finish school, not in a relationship with someone they want to have a baby with, are in an abusive relationship, there are health concerns with the pregnancy, or if they were sexually assaulted leading to pregnancy. It should, however, be understood that abortion is a crime unless done legally and safely. Also, the procedure should be performed in hospitals to assist in addressing any potential complications.
