Hire a WriterThe MBA degree, my second after graduating from medical school, greatly interests me. Since business education is not offered in medical colleges, I wish to have it in order to practice medicine. Over the past few years, MD/MBA programs have also seen a rise in popularity. With this combination, I'll be able to choose from a variety of career routes, including clinical positions, business ownership, and hospital management, among others.
A Stanford MBA will also help me acquire fresh perspectives. Although medical schools provide excellent training in disease diagnosis and management, students leave with little understanding of how the health-care system is managed as a whole. That knowledge is essential to successful patient care. Consequently, I want to build up a mindset that relates the latest technological trends with the realities of access to medical care and affordability in the midst of limited resources. Moreover, Stanford's business school instructs students on approaching decisions where there is no evidence.
I am also interested in the acquisition of relevant analytical skills via operations training, finance, excel modeling and statistics which can explicitly enhance patient care, for instance, in assessing the possibility of various surgical results) or driving quality enhancement at a wider level. Besides technical skills, the course provides leadership training with a particular stress on communication as well as interpersonal relationships. As physician, it almost goes without acknowledging that these soft skills are needed, particularly as medicine shifts towards care that is more team-based.
Last but not least, I strongly belief that my acquiring the MBA will be an invaluable document moving forward. Administrators, physicians and policymakers mostly do not see eye to eye in regard to an issue and therefore never work together to resolve the issue. Physicians are frequently never heard when key system decisions are arrived at. My primary objective of acquiring my MBA would therefore to bridge the gap. I am also confident that not only will my MBA be instrumental in learning new information, it will also assist me in conveying of management information to different stakeholders.
Besides my passion for biological sciences and management, I have outstanding organisation skills which I have successfully employed in the past in my academic and generally life. Additionally, I possess strong inter-personal skills which I have used throughout my entire life to liaise with my fellow classmates, teachers, and the overall public. I strongly feel that I am an emotionally strong person who has demonstrated initiative, empathy and determination in every aspect of my life particularly when dealing with challenging emotional situations and various difficult circumstances. As a person, I have always given my level best attention to anyone I have interacted with, always in a polite and calm manner coupled with a good sense of humor.
I am entirely aware of the increased competition for MD/MBA course. Nevertheless, I am more than determined to successfully be admitted in your school. Your school was the only one I chose since I feel it will wholly prepare me for a career as a physician/administrator. I am really hopeful that this course will offer the necessary platform for higher career possibilities. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your kind understanding and time.
