Global supply chain management allows us to source, manufacture, transport, deliver, and distribute items from virtually any location on the planet. Its growth has been largely relied on our global and local infrastructure efficiency. Furthermore, global supply systems are heavily reliant on internet connectivity, logistics management, customer satisfaction, operations management, and overall supply chain coordination. The world is today a linked infrastructure system, which has enhanced the supply chain (Uwcfire, 2009).

National and international recommendations

National and international recommendations strive to offer regulations to ensure smooth operations across borders in supply chain management. According to the (Uwcfire, 2009), Justine a shoe store owner, imports shoes from practically all continents of the world. Her importation goes as far as China, Africa, rest of Asia and Europe. Justine like most other local entrepreneurs and companies depend on the effectiveness of both the internet purchasing and infrastructure for the supply systems (Craig R. Carter, 2008).

Concerns about the supply system

Concerns have been raised about inefficiencies of the supply system. These matters are pegged on not only on the infrastructure but also other technical considerations. These factors are mostly based on the supply chain management companies. Considerable elements are the accountability of the supplied products, supply system management operations, infrastructure and labor concerns, understanding of the different time zones and customer satisfaction. A breakdown in supply, online purchasing, and production chain or supply infrastructure could have a significant adverse impact. Slowing down of the system can lead to total failure or congestion in the supply chain. Some other factors that challenge the efficient supply system include weather changes, network problems, change in fuel prices, and the bottleneck in the system and changing labor conditions (Swartz, 2014).

Conclusion

In conclusion, a supply chain is vital to our global economy. Some factors such as risks, transparency in the worldwide business, accountability to the customer and reduction of cots should be looked into to make an efficient supply chain system. Mobile money transfer and mobile technology can be incorporated to improve the supply chain system.
