Abortion: A Controversial Issue

For a long period, abolition has remained a controversial issue in our community based on different schools of thoughts. The legalization of abortion is being advocated for by a section of the world’s population who argue that despite being opposed, abortion is done in everyday basis across the world adding more risks to the population. Illegalization of the act has led to the loss of lives as people use risky means to get rid of the unwanted child without the knowledge of the risks and consequences. On the other hand, legalization of abortion has received opposition from organizations such as the church who argues that life is sacred and should be respected.

Impact on the Youth: New Harbor North High School

Concerning the virtual community, I will go with the New Harbor North High School mainly because the youth are the most affected. An educational institution is expected to instill best morals in students and to help them develop into responsible citizens. The school would advocate for the student not to get involved in pre-marital sex as one of the ways to avoid teenage pregnancy. The students in the education environs would be encouraged to practice abstinence to stay safe from diseases and teenage pregnancy.

Advising Responsible Choices

Alternatively, the stakeholder may adopt a different position especially being that the students are in their adolescent stage are sexually active. The school may advise practicing responsible sex if they have to. In the event that one becomes pregnant, an abortion should not be a choice unless the life of the student is in danger and even still, the abortion should be carried out in a medical institution. Finally, if the life of the student is not in danger, the student must be responsible and be ready to carry the pregnancy.
