Essay on drug trafficking

Paragraph 1:

Most often, a person involved in drug trafficking is restrained in accordance with local legislation. However, the action must have a solid foundation built on the moral dilemmas raised by the case.

1.1 Ethical and Immoral Problems

In this instance, there are ethical and immoral problems with my decision to detain someone for suspicion of drug dealing because of the way he looked. It is moral for me to make an arrest if he is thought to be a suspect in light of the rights given to me as the police. However, a person's appearance does not necessarily suggest that they are a drug dealer. Rather, the individual might be using the drugs. It is ethical to conduct several searches to determine the truth of the matter before arresting the individual. It was ethical to render the individual as a suspect and investigate more on the matter before the arrest. Consequently, about the idea of drug dealing, before arresting the individual witnesses are essential in providing the state of the person before the police conduct the search. For these reasons, therefore, it was unethical for me to suspect and arrest the person purely placing their claims on the appearance of the individual. However, there are chances that he is a drug dealer.

Paragraph 2:

According to the law, I need to be civilly accountable for the arrest of the person. I need to explain the rights and the reasons that lead me to stop the individual as a drug dealer. Since I am the one who arrested the person, I understand more concerning the scenario, and I need to write a statement to support my action. Furthermore, I need to state that my action was based on reducing the number of drug dealers in the region, for the safety of the citizens.
